5. It's really quite pathetic
There is no way McCain can match Obama's acceptance speech either in delivery or venue. The only choice is to find some reason, no matter how absurd, to go minimalist and low-ball the thing.

6. Wow, politicizing a Hurricane? If he dares to even mention Obama in that speech, Obama should rip
into him for playing politics.

7. This is getting quite pathetic
He can't fill a stadium so he needs a backdrop of destruction for his acceptance speech.

9. But wouldn't this hinder any Hurricane efforts
He is an ass. We don't need him here in Florida. Heck Chain Gang Charlie can go with him to St Paul as far as I'm concerned. I knew they would politicize this

10. And the reason isn't too transparent at all
:sarcasm:

With McCain's luck he would go to Florida and the hurricane would hit Georgia or South Carolina. I'll apologize in advance to anybody living in Georgia or South Carolina, I don't wish that, and I don't wish it on Florida. I hope it turns out to sea but it does't look like it is going to happen.

What a great convention. Senators and Congressmen aren't showing up. The speakers aren't showing up, or they are speaking by satellite (McCain & Bush). They got gypped. I'd want my money back.

11. Well, his initial plan to give his speech from the disaster area of Gustav failed
when Gustav failed to provide the disaster area, so I guess "potential disaster area" is the best they got.

12. Well he has to since the New Orleans one didn't pan out
the way he wanted. It's hardly a dramatic backdrop now.
Scum.

There is nothing that McDisaster wouldn't politicize.
