Has anyone taken a look at the stage for the Repuke convention? To say it's minimal is an understatement. It's downright spartan.

Just watching Pickles now, and there's a basically a very simple podium, a stage and a giant video board behind it all. It looks like they stole the set from the 1978 Golden Globe awards. I don't think this a result of Gustav. I saw shots of them setting up on Thursday, well before the full impact of Gustav was known and it hasn't changed much.

From looking at it, you'd think they were having some money problems.

I am sure that it has nothing to do with the Hurricane. These things are designed way ahead and it's just a lousy design. Watched a few minutes on C-span yesterday....but, it became boring very quickly.
