New CBS News Poll: Obama/Biden Up 48-40!!!

New CBS News Poll: Obama/Biden Up 48-40!!!

Much higher internal numbers for Barack, Michelle, Hillary, and Joe.

Independent support grew from +12 McCain to +6 Obama.
Women now support Obama 50-36; Obama maintained his lead with Hillary supporters.

Supporters self-labeled as "enthusiastic" for Obama grew from 48 to the current 67%. McCain's equivalent are just 25%.

Those who said they have clear understanding of Obama's goals as President grew from 41 to 50.

Hillary Clinton's positive favorabilty rose to 52%, highest in a decade.

Michelle Obama's positive ratings grew from 28 to 41%.

AND....those who said they were more likely to vote for Obama because of his selection of Biden are 15%. Only 4% said less likely. (+11)...Those more likely to vote for McCain due to Palin are at 13%....less likely 11%. (+2)


Way to go Obama and the Democratic Party for a great convention!!!
