With Tom Daschle (keep your powder dry) advising Obama...and McCain Seizing the Moment with Gustav..

what can we hope to see as the Obama Strategy for dealing with what's going on with Hurricane Gustav.

Is Obama going to "give the Repugs alot of Rope to Hang themselves with" like Daschle (keep the powder dry until he lost his job to Harry Reid) or something more agressive in "push back" from him.

Will Obama be like Kerry and Daschle that we depended upon with our "trust" to know what was best for strategy...or will that failed before strategy lose us another election.

What's the strategy that DU'ers think could work? Lay back and let them "hang themselves on their own spike" or "be agressive and look strong to counter the attacks that Dems are weak and too nuanced to run a country in crisis like America is today."

I fight with myself every day as to which strategy works the best ...yet I've seen the Repugs win...over and over..for AGRESSIVE STRIKE BACKS ...while Dems keep LOSING for "Keeping Powder Dry" ...and as Nancy Pelosi says: "Impeachment is Off the Table...we MUST BUILD THE PARTY!"

How many years to Nancy and Tom think we should "Lose Elections" so that we can "Build the Dem Party" that last I looked, was still a viable Party and one that shouldn't have been a "back bencher" given the HELL we've been through and all the work we've done BUILDING THE PROGRESSIVE INTERNET. So much time so many have given creating the Structure that gave Dems the Roadmap to WIN AMERICA BACK...but these "keep the powder dry folks" seem to keep saying "HOLD THAT FIRE..til you see the WHITES OF THEIR EYES!" (in other words until they are so close they are entering your home and putting you in handcuffs and digging their boots in your back for hours like Amy Goodwin of Democracy Now describes the travesty of justice corruption against "peaceful protestors" at the RNC Convention.) What a travesty of Democracy that we are in a police state where only Repugs are allowed to be "Above the Law" and "Protestors" are treated like they belong in "Gitmo" if they don't tow the line and abide by the Repug Law.

How long before the "Jackboots and Blackwater folks" beat down YOUR and MY DOOR and shove us and our kids to the floor in "cuffs" because we are "different" and post on a Democratic Site? :shrug:
