If you ask people to name the three countries closest to America, most (except on "Jaywalking") will say Canada and Mexico right away, but very few know that Russia is third closest. (It's 2 or 3 miles between a couple of islands in the Bering Strait.)

Don't ask me how Douchey knew this - someone must have written it down for him, the way Murray Slaughter wrote smart stuff for Ted Baxter to say stupidly. (Guess which TV-DVD box set I just got.)
