15. Amen!
We cannot stress this point enough.

It's not the numbers at the rallies that count. It's the numbers at the polls, and these people will march en mass in lockstep to the polls and vote McCain/Palin without a second thought.

6. Then we'd better get busy educating people.
Because, sadly, many among the electorate are not the brightest lights in the marquee.

Education, that's what will win, phonebanking, GOTV, the ground game.

8. Agreed
But be careful. A couple of weeks ago I was complaining about the ignorance of the average voter and suggested a test similar to the one immigrants must take. Basic knowledge of our political system. I was thinking about it at the time because my teens were taking their driving tests, and it seemed that if a 16 year old should have to have basic knowledge to drive, shouldn't a voter have to have basic knowledge to vote. Well, I got my ass handed to me, saying that this was akin to the old Jim Crow laws and could promote discrimination. Is it discrimination to make people take a test to drive?

14. Do you really think referring to the second female VP pick as a "Tart" is a good idea?
Edited on Sat Aug-30-08 03:17 PM by wmbrew0206
I hope you only say something like that on these boards because if you used it with undecided or independants, you are doing more harm than good to Obama's cause.
