McCain puts his own political ambition ahead of the safety and security of the country
This is what we need to drive home about McCain. This man who claimed that Obama would rather lose a war than lose a campaign has just shown that he himself really is willing to put his own political ambition ahead of the well-being of the country. At his age, with his past health problems, he absolutely needed to make sure that the person he chose to be a 72-year-old heartbeat from the presidency would be fully capable of taking over the job if something ever happened to him.

Instead, he went for a ridiculous political gimmick that he thought would win him votes, even though Palin is so obviously not competent to be president—even by her own admission. She has said on tape that she doesn’t understand what the job of the VP is. She even said in an interview that she hasn’t given much thought to Iraq. She is entirely provincial, with little in the way of national or international knowledge.

On top of that, we have a Democratic ticket with neither candidate under any sort of investigation, and a Republican ticket with one candidate currently under investigation and one who was involved in one of the worst and most famous corruption scandals of the last quarter century.

McCain obviously doesn’t care that he could be putting the country at great risk with his VP choice. In their first "presidential" action, Obama demonstrated, as he always has, judgment, maturity, and wisdom; McCain demonstrated in-your-face hot-dog carelessness, poor judgment, and all-consuming political ambition.

1. 'Politics First'
That should be the rejoinder now to McSame's campaign slogan.

It is all about JUDGEMENT
