14. Now, now... they serve an important purpose...
Rolling up excess animal waste into little balls and...

...oh, wait...

...that's Dung Beetles.

I guess pundits don't serve any purpose, do they?

My mistake! Carry on!

16. I am looking for an Obama bounce from the McCain VP pick. That speech she gave was
horrible. This may be a bigger fiasco than Poppy's pick of Dan Quayle.

25. In spite of, not because of., And he only won once. Should have dumped him in 1992.
Quayle was a thorn in the side of the Bush presidency. That is what bad VP choices do for you. Not saying that Quayle was the sole reason Poppy was a one-term president, but it did not help. By dumping Quayle in favor of say, James Baker, Bush would have demonstrated that he was serious about governing and not just trying to win.

26. "That speech she gave was..."
I wasn't aware of that speech so I'll have to start Googling.

My take on McCain's VP pick, is that it was an act of desperation --- inspired lunacy. Did he think he'd thereby pick up a few disgruntled Clinton supporters? Perhaps a very few, but he'll probably lose a lot more. She's a political FLY-WEIGHT, perhaps a DANDRUFF-WEIGHT.

But if we (Obama-supporters) go into too much of a frenzy over her, the M$M would be able to spin her into a "media star". Let her be, and look to see how that Obama camp handles her.

But this is well worth watching:

5. Tomorow we know the full bump
and whether McCain was able to blunt it with the Palin pick.

Big gamble. Enormous. Unknown possibilities here. If Obama breaks 50, no effect from Palin. If he breaks 55, suffice it to say McCain lost ground over the pick, though we spin it as an poverall bump from the convention and mention nothing baout Palin.

23. Good for them!
I'm volunteering for Obama in NH and met a lot of high school kids who are hell bent on voting for Obama. They live with their parents. They are un-polled and they love that position.

13. We heard that in 2004 too.
Sorry, but I don't buy it. Besides, these are good poll numbers! If Obama won by 8pts on Nov 4th it would be a LANDSLIDE.

10. this was taking pre speech so if he can get about 5 points from the
speech we're in business. I hope he continue his message to the working people, get rid of any DLC advisors that maybe a have infiltrated his circle, stay on the offense and it should be smooth sailing ahead.
