Palin: "What does the VP do??" -- What answer did John McCain give her?

I've seen the video where Palin essentially disses the position of vice president. However, I think we should take a second look at that.

Palin is saying: "What am I going to get to do?" She's asking for a job description, all right, but not from the Constitution. She's asking McCain.

One would presume that John McCain gave her an answer that was satisfactory. What was it?

What did McCain entrust Sarah Palin with in the White House? Could it be, oh, I don't know, perhaps ENERGY POLICY?

The unknown governor in a state controlled by oil interests. The state recently staggered with a huge corruption scandal involving VECO and the power structure. Palin comes in out of the blue and takes the governor's seat, and proves just as friendly to the oil companies as Ted Stevens ever thought about being.

And now she's McCain's vice-president. What functions did John McCain promise she would be in charge of?

Oil, Oil, Oil, Oil, Oil.
