I've been listening to the talking heads all morning and they keep mentioning that she's very knowledgeable on energy since she's from Alaska. Really? Living where there's a bunch of oil makes you an energy expert? Hell then, I'm from Kansas so that makes me and, presumably, Kathleen Sebelius experts on wheat. I can't wait to hit the lecture circuit with my new-found expertise.

1. I'm from NYC, that makes me automatically PWN all of you.
Kidding! But you get why that line of logic is ridiculous.

3. Well maybe she picks up a lot at the dinner table, her hubby is a BP man after all.
OK, that's all I have, I can't suggest anything more that would be constructive to her qualifications.

4. Maybe . . .

I guess I do pick up a lot from my wife concerning retirement plans at the table but I would not consider myself an expert by any means. I just find it amusing that since Alaska is blessed with natural resources that it makes her some type of expert on the issue of energy policy. I'm guessing her energy policy doesn't include a lot of renewables.

5. Well one thing that is interesting to note, she's for taxing big oil on windfall profits
'Cuz that means billions for Alaska, and the state needs it.

6. Of course!
In exactly the same way that having been a POW makes one a foreign policy expert, dontchaknow.

10. Sexism still rearing its ugly head
It seems any legitimate experience this woman has must be belittled.

Not disagreed with. Belittled.

There is a problem in the Democratic party. A woman running for office should be critiqued on her policies, her history, her integrity, her values. . .

Her real experience should not be trivialized. It is just as valuable as any man's.

11. How is what I said sexist?
I acknowledged that her experience says something about her qualifications. I didn't know that she was on that commission. All I had heard on TV was that she was an expert. Why, is what I wanted to know. Flame elsewhere please.
