So let me understand this,...
Sarah Palin has two years political experience, five children, is being investigated, is from Alaska, is a former beauty queen.

Looks like the McCain camp took their eye off the ball. This choice is like the blind men describing the elephant.

2. panic?
I mean I am shocked they have been yelling experience from the mountain tops...I can't think part of his base is going to like this....but I don't think there was anyone all of his base liked this year...so maybe he can try to split the dems again...did no one want to run with him?...sure a woman is a good idea but...this one just seems so out there.

3. We already have...
...the best candidate and the best ticket. The only card they had was "lack of experience". Palin leaves them with nothing. She will appeal to the base who would have voted for McCain anyway. Since sexist and racist go hand in hand...I think he'll lose more than he will gain.

4. It also means
the GOP is in full Mondale mode, recognizing the certainty of defeat with a "safe" choice. That in itself is sort of reassuring to those who think their cheating alone would ever have been enough.
