Gallup poll shows a 6 point bounce
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 06:51 AM by Christa
not counting last night's speech:

August 29, 2008
Barack Obama’s gain in support among registered voters from Monday to Wednesday of this week was in part
due to gains among conservative Democrats -- the group among whom the Democratic nominee had lost ground last week as he slipped
to an overall tie with John McCain.

42-48. I expect it to go much higher.

Man, it's good to be alive today!

edited to correct spelling. I am so excited I can hardly type!

5. I will be happy if it just holds ...
Fact is, the trends have long been locked in a very small and well defined margin, BO between 48 and 44, mostly in the 46 range on average, McCain in the 41-43 range. But, for the last couple weeks, BO has been in that 44-45 range. Trying to keep expectations realistic, I just don't want to see a slip.

6. Remember...
...today's poll will be the first one starting to show any effect of Bill Clinton's speech. It could grow and grow!

(or sink and sink...)
