7. Uh - Fifth and Market
"Deranged." Count on it. It's hard to find anyone on Fifth and Market who isn't.

12. Yup.
And not many Republicans or skinheads or what not walking around on 5th and Market Street. It's a mostly black area. Probably someone crazy.

2. A Domestic Terrorist attacked a campaign worker for President Obama
A man was arrested tonight after he verbally abused and then allegedly slashed the face of a Barack Obama campaigner in downtown San Francisco, police said.

The 6 p.m. attack on the unidentified 35-year-old male campaign activist occurred as he was working at 5th and Market streets, police said. The campaigner had a permit and officers nearby witnessed what happened next.

According to police, the unidentified suspect approached and began to shout slurs and insults at the campaigner, who listened, thanked the man for his views and asked him to leave.

The angry man complied, but quickly returned and pulled out a knife and slashed the victim in the face. The two officers who witnessed the attack responded, one arresting the suspect and the other drove the victim to the hospital. He suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

3. a nutjob pure and simple
if he is a McCain supporter, then fine... but just being wrong is no reason for someone to commit assault like this. The god there were law enforcement to stop the altercation from going any further. I hope for a full and speedy recovery and a damn harsh punishment for this wacko.
