Drudge reporting that McCain has selected on VP
No name mentioned. However, on Intrade.com, Mitt is sinking while Kay Bailey Hutchison is rising fast.

1. If it's Kay Bailey, bring it the hell on
We can hit her for her lack of support for our troops, her approval of waterboarding, her rubberstamping of the occupation of Iraq, etc.

10. From Wiki:
In 2006, Hutchison received more campaign contributions from large oil and gas corporations than any other member of Congress

3. The RNC will never allow McCain to pick...
...Romney, Colin Powell.

They realize that both of them have too many issues that the Obama camp can nail them on.

I could see them going with Hutchinson in an attempt to lure some of the female vote, but it won't work. She is not a female's female.

I still think Charlie Crist is high in the running.

13. Who gives a shit?
I haven't heard anyone wondering who his pick will be...I think he's nuts for announcing anything this week as it will be completely overshadowed by the convention.

9. I think mccain is being forced to announce or leak this week.
Because Gustav is threatening to make landfall Sunday/Monday. The pukes Convention may be overshadowed. Could it even be delayed?

15. My wife just
came in to tell me the same thing. It wont effect the convention though, being in Minnesota...but it could draw some network time, but probably not too much.

25. I doubt it could be delayed at this point.
Too many people would have to readjust their plans at an extremely late date and preparation on that scale would be difficult to maintain.

28. Then, he should take the risk of announcing during
the DNC rather than the risk of announcing during a major hurricane.

Better to look desperate that callous.

21. I really don't want it to be KBH...
because I am in Texas, and that would hurt our down-ticket races, if undecideds/independents break towards a rethug ticket... it would erase part of the potential Obama coattails.
