chief advisor Steve Schmidt. His war story was impressive and evoked sympathy & respect when he first talked about it ALMOST A YEAR AGO! He's really been over playig it though, and I get the feeling that many people NOW are getting very tired of hearing about it and are saying ENOUGH ALREADY! It's becoming a negative for him.

Schmidt, Rove's protege, was made McNut's chief campaign advisor on July 2nd, and that coincides with when McNut really turned up the negativity!
