I hope Michelle picks it up a bit
I'm a little bored, to be honest. Now, admittedly, I have the attention span of a hard core speed metal fan, but it just ain't doing it for me.

Hopefully I am a part of a very small minority.

3. I know, he's kind of what I'm not digging
I like his message, but he talks a bit slow for me.

But as I said, I'm used to Megadeth.

6. Oh, well he was a Republican ripping the Republicans, so it wasn't all bad
How enthusiastic do you expect a Republican to be?

...and if you're looking for Megadeth, you're on the wrong channel bud.

5. Me too and I am a bit embarrassed that the delegates don't sit still and LISTEN
to an interesting, thoughtful, historically-based speech.

Geez.

They are sitting and freaking talking with each other while an important speech is happening.

 to the delegates

2. It's a typical convention, which is why networks only show an hour.
Generally there is only one or two speeches a night worth watching.

Outside of that, it's pretty boring.

8. This is a REPUBLICAN who is praising Democrats - including Al Gore -
he is a bit stiff in delivery, but what he is saying is important. He is praising Kennedy for lighting the lamp of fairness at home.

I am embarrassed that delegates can't sit still and shut up -- they are freaking talking aloud while he is speaking.

12. Bare with me - cause I'm a school teacher...

but it is a PRIVILEGE to be at the Democratic convention, this is a historic election...you have to campaign to be there, you have to work really hard, MANY people want to go but were not elected as delegates...and if you can't be quiet, then either leave the fucking room, or don't fucking go...

It is rude and really disrespectful to be talking over these speakers who have spent weeks and weeks preparing for this/and probably actually YEARS working for democrats...it doesn't say much for the delagates...

I have never been to one of these conventions, but I've been to Take Back America, and this did NOT take place there, we went to conferences from 8am till midnight for three straight days, and we did not talk when the conference speakers were speaking...it is really pissing me off...

Seriously, shut the fuck up or leave...

7. I think part of the problem is that people ill-suited for public speaking on a really huge scale
are being pushed in front of the podium-- a lot of the stuff that happens at a convention is just nuts and bolts stuff that's really not that interesting to watch. But it's necessary-- so it just makes everything a ceremony. And that's just boring. I'm repressing yawns myself too. I've been holding on solely by thinking of Michelle Obama's speech. I want to know what she has to say.

13. Really, what you need to do is, if you have a DVR, pause it for an hour...
get other stuff done around the house, whatever, then, fast forward through the slow stuff and check out the good stuff.

That's the way I do it anyway...
