Kennedy plans to address DNC

In a development that is sure to bring the house down, US Senator Edward M. Kennedy is expected to attend the Democratic National Convention, most likely to deliver a speech tomorrow night.

Kennedy is battling brain cancer, and his doctors are said to be worried that his treatment has compromised his immune system and that attending the convention could put him at further risk. Still, the senator has recently told people that he has a speech written for the convention and that he badly wants to come, pending a final medical consultation.

Buzz has built among Massachusetts politicos that Kennedy would come, and today a source close to the family confirmed that he had made a decision to come.

``He is definitely planning to be here,'' said the Kennedy family confidant. ``The whole Kennedy family will be in a special section. It should be quite moment.''

4. HUH? Why is there two opposing statements floating out there?
I just read a statement that Ted will NOT be able to attend the convention! I heard that on CNN & MSNBC too. Now Boston says he will????

I only hope that Ted only does what's best for HIM! We all know where his heart it, and he's America's best Deomcrat!

9. Damn right. Keeping Teddy off his sailboat may be one thing but keeping him from a Democratic
Convention, not likely if there is any way possible.

Damn, I love that family!

8. I watched his speech on one of the PBSstations that was
airing all of the Democratic main speeches from the time of Truman. I watched part of Kennedys speech from the 80's, it was pretty impressive.

This is an important speech from him, I hope he makes it to see a Democratic President in the WH.

10. I will be praying for this man. I will also be praying that he will
light a terrible tradgedy in this country. He is receiving medical treatment because he is a Senator. Many people have jobs, ans some have insurance, but many are denied treatement. Please make this speach about the removal of insurance co. as being the gate keepers, and take their lawyers for the insurance co. out of the mix too. I'm praying for a miracle for Sen. Kennedy and this country.
