3. He doesn't do any himself and he doesn't make money from it.
But you know how the Goppers are. Hunter is going to have to do something about this.

4. I would think....
that all of Joe's kids underwent extensive scrutiny in the vetting process...
and like was mentioned above, probably NOTHING in comparison to the scuttlebutt that could be raised about John's brood.

Ya know, they are going to be looking for needles in the haystack.

5. The only thing I read about him was that he was on the board of Amtrak and that probably
came about because his dad, Senator Biden rides Amtrak to go home to Delaware every night and is a big proponent of Amtrak saying that we need to get in the game more with mass transit and I believe initiated a bill for more government help for Amtrak.

I didn't understand him to be a lobbyist but on the board of Amtrak. However, doesn't mean that isn't something I missed on him.

6. Yes, and Hunter, and James
(Joe's brother) counter sued. It's still in the courts.

R. Hunter Biden, a Washington lobbyist, accused a former business partner of lying about his professional credentials and finances after they agreed to buy a hedge fund investment firm in 2006, according to a complaint in New York state court.

Biden, son of Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.), and James Biden, the senator's brother, countersued Anthony Lotito Jr. on Feb. 13, saying he hid debts and falsely claimed he held securities licenses to lure them as partners in the planned $21.3 million acquisition. Lotito also persuaded the Bidens to hire a lawyer who had been convicted of fraud, according to the complaint.

8. I hope not. But this is from our local Delaware newspaper (via WaPo) today:
Son, brother of Biden accused in lawsuits
By Kimberly Kindy and Joe Stephens • The Washington Post • August 24, 2008

WASHINGTON -- A son and brother of Sen. Joe Biden are accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, court records show.

The Democratic vice presidential candidate's son Hunter, 38, and brother James, 59, assert instead that their former partner defrauded them by misrepresenting his experience in the hedge fund industry and recommending that they hire a lawyer with felony convictions.

The legal actions have been playing out in New York State Supreme Court since 2007, and they focus on Hunter and James Biden's involvement in Paradigm Companies LLC, a hedge fund group. Hunter Biden, a Washington lobbyist, briefly served as president of the firm.

A lawsuit filed by their former partner Anthony Lotito Jr. asserts in court papers that the deal was crafted to get Hunter Biden out of lobbying because his father was concerned about the impact it would have on his bid for the White House. Biden was running for the Democratic nomination at the time the suit was filed.
