As DU'ers Continue On About The Text Message Being "Ruined," We All Know It Will Still Be Hysterics
I have seen numerous posts today about how the text message novelty has worn off or even "ruined" because of the seemingly delayed announcement. While that may be the case now, and especially with this talk of Biden and Bayh being told they weren't the pick, the posters here will be HYSTERICAL when it is finally announced. This build up has done nothing but good for the Obama campaign; I haven't heard McCain mentioned all day.

1. I hate those folks lamenting this way......
We don't win by whining about every little fucking thing that happens.

Folks need to grow the fuck up.

I'm tired of BooHooHoo....he's inconveniencing me.

Shit...the way folks criticize even a brilliant play, you'd think the Supreme Court,
the economy, health Care and the wars weren't hanging in the balance.

2. Good point!
The suspense is killing me, but I kind of want it to last a bit longer. McCain is getting slammed over the house thing and for playing the POW card at every turn, and the press is going bat shit trying to out-scoop each other. I like to see the press look like arses, and they certainly are not disappointing me today.

4. Oh certainly ...

I'm fairly certain those lamenting the most have their cell phone text message notification tone turned up to Obnoxious and are checking the screen every few minutes to make sure they didn't miss something.

This has been marketing genius. Hell, it made me actually pay attention a little bit, and I tend not to give a rat's ass about the VP pick.

8. :)

One of my co-workers has one that makes me jump out of my skin. She said it has to be obnoxious, or she doesn't notice it.

It makes me want to throw her phone in the shredder.

10. Ha!
Yeah, mine is on the lowest setting.

But one of my officemates wants me to turn it to silent when I leave my desk. I told him I can't or I wouldn't remember to turn it back on. I even went and bought a ring tone for a band that he likes so that when it would ring and I wasn't around (not like I'm getting a bunch of calls while I'm at work anyway), he'd enjoy it. Still not good enough.

Maybe I should turn it up to obnoxious just once so he can see how I really am trying!!

Ah phones!

I am a fan of the bill they recently considered (I think in the Senate) that would prohibit airlines from allowing cell phone use in flight. Now that would SUCK!!!

7. We've Been Had
All sitting around to get the news first. Thanks Obama. Why wait until Friday evening or the weekend to announce good news? Friday is when you drop bad news.

I for one am disappointed we didn't get the text first.

9. There's no official word -- besides, they can't have everybody getting the text at the same time.
I doubt many people will actually see it on their phones before hearing it elsewhere first.

He's built a ton of excitement around this, that's for sure!
