Phil Gramm Returns to McCain Fold
By Michael D. Shear
Turns out, the exile to Belarus was not permanent.

Former Sen. Phil Gramm, the lawmaker-turned-lobbyist who was unceremoniously sent to the cooler by his friend, Sen. John McCain for saying that the recession was "mental," appeared in Aspen with the GOP nominee today.

After Gramm's comments, McCain had joked that Gramm would be "in serious consideration for ambassador to Belarus although I'm not sure the citizens of Minsk would welcome that."

2. It just proves
Who is really running this race, the same assholes that have been screwing up things for the last 8 years! I can't wait to see ads linking McCain and all his "lobbyist" aids and Bush flunkies!

3. McCain and Gramm are like a shark and a pilot fish.
The pilot fish can detach from the shark, but it isn't going far, and it always reattaches.

6. He never left!

and, aside from one snide remark about Dr. Phil- the campaign gave Gramm and McCain a pass.

So why shouldn't he be back?

Along with his "free" market fundamentalism?

After all- one of DU's favorite VP candidates went right along with those "ideas" - which the Republicans will no doubt bring up every time he's assailed (assuming he's assailed for the epic failures in the financial markets).
