1. So it's a statistically insignificant change.
Unless you're one of the "math is hard" sort of people.

8. Except it shows McCain now leading among independents, when Obama had been ahead there - a 24 point
swing in support from independents:

McCain winning over indies: poll

More bad news for Sen. Barack Obama's campaign on the polling front. The latest George Washington University-Battleground 2008 Poll done jointly by Republican and Democratic pollsters shows that Sen. John McCain has managed to move independent voters to him to such a degree that he now leads Obama by 10 percent. Back in May, Obama led with independents by 14 percent.

I didn't post it when I saw it hours ago because I thought there'd been enough bad poll news here for one day.

Link to the pollster's site:

And you'll find links to PDF files with poll results and analysis at the bottom of that page.

2. I think it's bullshit we even use "%" for countrywide polls
We have an electoria system. What is the current breakdown of electorial votes if the election were held today. That truly tells the story and Obama is always ahead in those.

5. RCP shows McCain ahead in the state electoral vote
When toss-ups are forced into one candidates total or another.

14. I can find you 5 others that show the opposite
The perception needs to be that these 2 are running neck and neck. But not only is Obama out fundraising McCain but I also see a shitload more Obama signs even when driving thru predominantly republican strong holds like the Lancaster region of Pennsylvania and Lower Delaware.

9. This will be my generic response to all 'McCain is winning' posts:
Campaign, imploding. Sky, falling. Cancel the election. All is lost.

10. Its a sad day for America when Americans will vote against their best interests and continue W's
policies... I still find it baffling that Americans are willing to perpetuate a dead economy and openly allow a repub to do it (with open arms) and at the same time be pissed that things are better. This tells me that they are being lied to and o one is telling them otherwise...The likelihood in all this is that Obama will get ver vocal in ads and on the stump after the convention/olympics because it just seems the public is reacting based on the lies McCain is feeding them.

12. Those are hard bought gains: they helped start a war between
Georgia and Russia to keep the sheeple afraid. But who cares the old man will surely save us. :sarcasm:
