Obama's down in one poll.

Obama has lead in 47 out of the past 51 polls.

Calm the fuck down.

That is all.

vote caging, devious tricks and suppression by the droves will occur...yeah, sneaky mailers WORK

Ohio will be stolen again unless there are a ton of volunteers and wise voters, because the mailers that went out in 2006 were sneaky, tricky and worked. Purging voters from voting rolls works well too...ask the 92 year old woman whose name disappeared from the rolls where she has voted ever since being allowed to vote (African American woman)..I met her, spoke with her, and was unable to help her. She dressed up to come to the polls in her Sunday best. I sat and cried after she left. Another girl got a mailer telling her polling location changed. It had not. Damschroeder mailed out TONS of postcards, and every single voter had to respond to those postcards...if they did not, their name was removed from the rolls....on and on and on.

I will be standing, probably in the rain as typical, watching voting lines 4-6 hours long OR LONGER if we get 80% turnout like expected in Franklin County...AGAIN....because Matt Damschroeder is still around.

12. We need to encourage folks to vote early to ovoid this hassle.
Also SOS Brunner is providing paper ballots and we need to get the uneducated to use them.

14. You would not believe the whining article on page 1. above the fold
in our local county paper today about her directive that vote machines cannot go home the night before with people

here, I live with these miserable people..BITCHING about someone trying to protect the process...these people in our county used to have the machines for 3 FREAKING DAYS!

Here is the complaining for your perusal:

http://www.lancastereaglegazette.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080820/NEWS01/808200325&referrer=FRONTPAGECAROUSEL

(FYI I volunteer for election protection in Franklin County, but Fairfield is rapdily becoming a hotbed of corruption...ALL of these asshats are friends of that miserable Republican imprisoned sheriff SOB Gary Demastry whom I saw sitting on a bench in Canal Winchester the other day, out of prison on good behaviour early release)

Folks can volunteer for Election Protection here:

22. I work the polls in Licking County.
I am totally opposed to taking the machines home. We used to set those *amn things up in the unlocked gym and leave them over night! A.... hello!!! It is going to be a nightmare but hey if they insist on using the machines that is life. If the poll workers rise up and say that they can't do set up, vote and pack up all in the same day that is just fine with me! We can use those beautiful paper ballots. I have spoken out here and actually been left out of one election because of it. We have an understanding that I question because when I work the polls I am promising my voters that I will make sure that their vote is safe. If everyone took the job seriously we wouldn't be in this spot. Thanks for the link. If I 'can't work' the polls I will check that out. Peace, Kim

21. Here in California I don't know if things are any better than before
With Bush having the DOJ re-structure the FBI so that that agency refuses to see any merit in taking complaints against people who are committing felonies on election day,
I am betting the woman that was in Marin County's one black district on Election Day 2004 will be out there causing problems again this year.

3. The trend shows he is sinking fast
Yesterday a poll came out showing he had dropped to only a 2 pt lead in one poll after having a huge lead. CHeck real clear and you will see McCain is leading in almost all the battlegrounds. He might be up in many polls now but where will he be next week if this trend continues. The combination of that trip and his vacation was too much. Damn the stupid people in this country piss me off.

5. Roll your eyes if you want but this is the same thing
that happened to Kerry. He was hurt going into the convention. Then we all cheered through the convention. Then it ended and nothing...no bump at all. People had already made up their minds.

9. As I said it is NOT just Zogby. If only Zogby showed him dropping I would dismiss
it immediately. I have said some nasty things about Zogby since that CA mess. However, all of the polls show Obama dropping (some more than others).

13. Oh, come on
that's not what anyone is saying. But it is more than a little scary and disheartening. When Obama is ahead in the polls, everyone does cartwheels. We can't pretend the polls we don't like don't matter.

11. thank you :)
Gotta look at the BIG picture! Moreover, consider how often Zogby was "right" in the Primaries. (Just about as often as the Enquirer is right on a story ... i.e., rarely -- and a few times (e.g., CA), Zogby was w---a----y off.)

15. A handful of polls creeps you out? Get some sleep folks. I know many of you
latch onto polls as if they're the holy grail. Please, stop! It's a tracking poll. The polls you want tot pay attention to are the head to head match ups state by state. Obama is up in red states and swing states and he's being outspent by John McCain. here is the thing. Once the convention is over. Obama's money is going to drown out the GOP convention. Republicans are going to do the same dumb things they're so used to doing and Obama is going to run an end around for a touch down. This election won't even be close. Do you really know how many disaffected Republicans are really going to back Obama? Wake up people.

These daily tracking polls merged with the sponsorship of the MSM does what it's intended to do. They are bought and paid for by the media to create perception.

16. Actually, it's kinda cool
No chance of people getting complacent with the MSM driving a "horserace" mentality. If Obama's down slightly from here to November, it'll drive people to the actual voting booths.

Everybody stop worrying. Obama has it made. No one is going to vote for mccain. Pay no attention the man behind the curtain.

So glad I can stop calling and working at the campaign headquarters now that the war is over and we have universal health care and the economy is on the rise.

Whew! Thank goodness we don't have to be "concerned" any more. Let's all go shopping.

You are talking about *complex* statistics.

*Simple* statistics are the kind where you replace the
answer you get, with the answer you want. It's a very
useful mathematical formula. Our administration supports
it fully.
