How old was McCain's Father when he died?
I heard McCain say once the because his mother was i her 90's nd inisuch good health
that should give people confidence that he still has losts of years left him.

So I have had this Question in my head since I heard that. So does anyone know How Old Admiral McCain was when he died?

Not that I need confidence to vote for the guy, I have no plans to go insane election day.

3. 70
I have posted threads on this because I think it's interesting that he's never asked this each time he drags his mother out

5. The age of death of the males in the family seems more relevant.
You're living on borrowed time, Johnny Boy.

6. his other family members are much more interesting.
grandfather : McCain was born in Carroll County, Mississippi, the son of plantation owner<1> John Sidney McCain (b. Mississippi, 1851 – d. 1934)

great great grandfather :William Alexander McCain (b. North Carolina, 1812 – d. 1863), Confederate States Army, owned a 2,000-acre (8.1 km2) plantation in Carroll County, Mississippi and 52 slaves. He was married in 1840 to Mary Louisa McAllister (b. Alabama, 1812 – d. 1882).

9. really?
McCain's great great grandfather fought for the CSA and was a slave owner?

Did not know that. Not that it matters, or should matter in the election.

Did he die in the war, at a battle?

And this is something that I don't suppose should be injected into the campaign, and I'd be a bit dissapointed if it was by the media.

But I can't lie and say that I won't now have an extra drink on election night, in November, to celebrate the fact that a person of color defeated the great grandson of a slave owning confederate soldier, to win the presidency. Just adds to the irony of the whole thing I guess.

11. Did it matter that Bush's family helped the nazi's?
apparently not.

Then again, maybe not enough people were aware.

Whether its relevant is not for me to decide, but rather the voters themselves.

Does it matter to you ?

p.s.

10. From Doctor Phillip Butler
who was a POW with McCain in Vietnam:

"Most of us who survived that experience are now in our late 60's and 70's. Sadly, we have died and are dying off at a greater rate than our non-POW contemporaries. We experienced injuries and malnutrition that are coming home to roost. So I believe John's age (73) and survival expectation are not good for being elected to serve as our President for 4 or more years."

14. When we combine that
with the life expectancy of males in his family, it doesn't look too promising. Frankly, the guy just doesn't look too healthy to me.
