Obama Back up in Gallup Poll
Daily Gallup for 8/18:

Obama 46
McSame 43

The current position of the race is representative of the overall average positioning of the two candidates so far this summer. Although McCain moved closer to Obama in the last three reports of Gallup's tracking, he was not able to sustain this tied position, and the bottom line is that the race appears to have once again returned to just about where it has been on average over the summer. 1. Mathmatically that means Obama polled 47-41 yesterday

Since they use a rolling average

2. Not necessarily
It could be that he had a bad day 4 days ago that got averaged out in this poll. Usually Gallup says if one candidate has a particularly strong single night of interviews.

7. GOD DARNED MEDIA ...
as others have noted, the trend is almost STUNNING ...

Polling up after the weekend, polling down as the work week winds down ...

The freakin media hacks BO to DEATH and props up McCain ... The weekend comes and people clear their heads, and the cycle repeats ...
