I just finished a 2 day training program to be a neighbor organizer for the Obama campaign here in
Kansas City, MO. It was an exhausting but invigorating experience! I shared it with wonderful, absolutely wonderful, people, and I think I speak for all of us that we're ready to go to work!

6. Oh gosh. I never thought I could do it when my field organizer told me how
long it would be. Sat 9:00--7:00 and Sun 2:00-7:00. I actually left 3 hrs early on Sat., but I stuck it out today. They were very thorough, I must say!

10. We need help here in the KC area
There are tens of thousands of unregistered voters. Getting them on the voter rolls will take lots and lots of campaign workers.

5. Awesome!
I only got one day of training during the primary and they've grandfathered me into the GE.

It will be a rewarding experience!

14. This is probably the same thing I just did. The Sat. session I went to was all day, 9:00-7:00. (I
actually left at 4:00.) Sunday's session was 5 hrs, but it was mainly organizing the teams. The Saturday session was the most important. I'd be interested in hearing what you think of your session. I thought ours was very, very inspirational, informative, and well organized, considering it was the first one and the staff was learning, too. You and I both live in important swing states!
