Don't miss the point of the Saddleback fourm

McCain was in his fundie element.

Obama did extremely well: no gotcha moments; thoughtful answers. Obama will peel off some moderate evangelicals with this.

McCain, on the other hand, made jokes (rich is less than $5 million), his responses were off point, he didn't answer the questions, he lied (voted to confirm the justices that he claimed he wouldn't nominate).

The nation was watching, not just the people in the room.

There is a wealth of idiotic comments in McCain's responses.


He should be hit on all of them.

Obama's target audience was larger than that room, and McCain made himself look like a shallow loon.
