Something is wrong with this picture.

Here is the link. I found this on a post about the Dems not coming out and campaigning for him. For some reason I can't post the ad but when you click on the link you will see it. This shouldn't be allowed to be shown on the Democratic Underground site.

The ads come from google ads - they appear based on the pattern of words in the pages of DU.

It's not a conspiracy, and it's not a moral failure on Skinner's part that sometimes something gets keyed up that actually doesn't fit.

Instead of getting righteously indignant and looking silly about something that doesn't matter at all, think of it this way: no one at DU is going to buy that book (probably), and the advertisers are giving DU their money, thus wasting it.

They don't reflect the opinions. I've found ads for blogs from tombstoned Puma Du'ers when I'm logged out and can see the ads.

Same kind of thing. It was a Google ad, or whatever the equivalent was, only it didn't just pop up in threads back then, it was right on the front page. Caused some harumphing.
