Isn't McCain Involved in this DHL Deal in Ohio?
Just getting strands of info. McCain goes to Ohio and is all sympathetic about the upcoming loss of 10,000 jobs in the DHL deal. Isn't that ass Davis on his staff (or one of them) the lobbiest that pushed this thing through and McCain voted for some part of it to make it happen?? In other words, if so, then Obama needs ads and stump speeches in Ohio on this to slit his throat. McCain arrogantly promised them Congressional investigation into it. Ummmm...doesn't he only have to go as far as his own staff and himself to do the investigation. Please fill me in here.....

1. You are correct, and it's my guess that the McCain link has not been
lost on Obama's Ohio campaign staff.

This is going to be a rough couple of months for the senior Senator from Arizona.

And not just in Ohio.

5. Thank you -- it's reassuring.
Gore conceded Ohio to Dubya in 2000 and even THEN only lost it by 3.5%.

Bush had to cheat Kerry of the state in 2004.

Obama stands into the batter's box in History Park with the bases loaded.

2. Rick Davis - McSleaze's campaign manager is knee deep in it...
And McCain stood in front of these people, some of them crying about the loss of their job, and HE LIED HIS ASS OFF to them.

I'm John McCain and I approved these people getting screwed to the wall!

I'M A TRUE AMERICAN WAR HERO DON'T YOU KNOW!

6. Question and comment
First, Obama needs some short ads running there that address DHL and nothing else and pointing out McCain's role. Second, Chuck Todd drew a "U" in Ohio and said that if Obama can make inroads in this "U" area (apparently the real repuke stronghold) he would win. Does this DHL deal hit that vital "U" area? I imagine if any of you are from Ohio you know what this "U" area involves...

8. I don't know what the U is, but DHL is a hot topic in Southwest Ohio.
Southwest Ohio counties are strong repuke. The city of Cincinnati is more Democratic but Hamilton County trends republican.

10. did it include Cincinnati?
that's where Wilmington is near.

that's a real puke stronghold, as is most of rural Ohio.

course you can say that about almost every state in the country

Davis was on Fox this morning, defending his role, and lying his ass off about it, including mentioning that the woman who CRIED to McCain is insisting that Obama take her off the ad he's running about the DHL deal (which, I guess, plays the crying)

I'll bet my ass she was a PLANT the first time, and they didn't think anybody would be the wiser about McCain's involvement. he lied his ass off to the crowd, neglecting to tell them how he FOUGHT with Ted Stevens in committee to allow the sale to go through. he's either a huge liar, or so senile/unprepared for his meetups that he didn't realize the role he played. either way, a sad commentary on his fitness to lead

13. There has only been one radio ad.
I think the democrats have an ad on youtube that may have the woman in it.
But Obama's radio ad never did.
