How Can McBush Seriously Demand That Russia Withdraw From South Ossetia?
Is this old fart on OPIATES? First of all, Georgia started this fight. They wrote a check their asses could not cash. Now Russia is cashing it for them. They opened a can of whoop ass that had no whoop in it. They brought a knife to a gun fight.

McBush is telling Russia to get the fuck out when he supported the American illegal invasion of Iraq. What kind of blind Imperialist hypocrisy bullshit is that? So, a country is not supposed to respond when they are actually hit, but they CAN respond, invade, kill thousands upon thousands of civilians based on falsified records straight out of the Special Plans office in the Pentagon?

FUCK YOU MCBUSH.

2. Not commenting on Bush but Georgia did *not* start this
Russia has been fronting the Ossetian rebels for years, among other antagonistic actions, thereby fomenting rebellion on territory that the rest of the world recognizes as sovereign Georgian turf. Georgia was ostensibly taking action only against rebels within its own territory. Their forces did not cross into sovereign Russian territory.

4. Agreed. Putin wants to put the ol' gang back together again...

He's destroyed the free press and cracked down on free speech to the point that people are once again afraid to say anything against the government. He's saber-rattling about getting us back to a Missiles of October scenario in Cuba...

Bush, with his "ignore Russia" Middle East policies and Cheney's black hole-funded anti-missile research and deployment has helped to antagonize them and take away any influence we might have.

The US has to pay attention and to discourage what's going on over there as much as possible, or we'll be right back to the Cold War era.

3. Presumptuous and dangerous for a *candidate* to make these statements
McCain has way overstepped his boundaries and this needs to be exploited by Obama.

5. Both candidates weighed in. It's a legitimate policy issue for them...

...of course, McCain is now hinting at kicking Russia out of the G8. He's already suggested kicking out China.

He's completely impotent to do either, and he knows it. He's really good at making empty threats. *That's* what Obama should call him on.

6. And that's the distinction that I'm making
Weighing in is fine, wagging your finger at another nation and telling them what to do is off-limits.

7. That's what I am saying.
I understand Obama said something to, but he was a lot milder, and honestly, he doesn't have the hypocrisy thing to worry about in these situations. McCain started jibber jabbering about the G8 and all kinds of crap his senile head can't even get wrapped around. For Christ's sake, the man thought Czechoslovakia still existed.
