Likelihood of discovering new large oilfields in U.S. is extremly slim
From Wikipedia:

With over 2.3 million wells having been drilled in the US since 1949,<45> the likelihood of discovering new large oilfields is extremely slim. U.S. oil reserve numbers are very accurate compared to those of most other countries.

3. I have the data from the US Geological survey
If there's anything new it's either so small it's not worth drilling for, so contaminated it's not worth dealing with or so deep it'd be easier to drill from China.
