"Is the biggest proponent of George Bush's tired, failed policies ready to bring about change? Another day brings another dishonest attack from John McCain. While Senator McCain knows that Senator Obama has proposed cutting taxes for 95% of American families, what he's not telling us is that he wants to give $4 billion in tax breaks to the oil companies, continue giving tax breaks to corporations that ship our job overseas, and provide no direct tax relief for more than 100 million middle-class families. It's time to retire these old policies and bring new energy to America."

I really wonder whether the Obama camp should be confronting the "celeb" thing a bit more directly, though I confess I'm not sure how one would do that.

1. the negative word for "celebrity" is "NOTORIOUS". Notorious should become linked to McCain

like white on rice.

2. I don't think calling him a "celebrity" is really all that damaging. I know

it's to make the elderly hate and distrust him (that's really the target audience for comparing Obama to all those "trampy tabloid girls"), but most people don't care that he's famous. They would expect a Prez candidate to be famous.

3. I think Paris did a GREAT JOB of smacking McNuts for his ad, and

it's much better coming from HER because not only will people pay more attention, and it really IS a funny ad, but the Pubs can't come back on Barack for "not being able to take a joke!"

I heard his comment, but I honestly don't remember if it was before or after. I'm thinkin it was before McNutters SAW the Paris response. I also read that The Hiltons asked for their campaign contributions BACK! You can't possibly expect me to be lieve they'd be happy about THAT!

4. The paris hilton response video has demolished mccaints bullshit

It put his crapad in proper perspective. Plus it played on national tv this morning. Paris is HOT!

The Obama campaign is working the energy attack angle and may in fact flip the McCaint Drill Everywhere bullshit on its back. I am optimistic that they may score and score big on this.
