16. Of course not....
I don't follow your point. I guess I'm more concerned about Obama than those two.

The ad is terrible all the way around.

5. He called them the 2nd and 3rd most popular celebrities in the world.
How out of touch can he possibly get?

6. LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!
Heh, I love how her PR firm said "WHY would we EVER want to get Britney Spears involved in presidential politics?"

Also, pissed that in the debunking of the ad on the troops (the "ooh, this bad ad is so awful, let's just play it 20 more times!"), there wasn't more discussion on how McCain used footage of the troops (but blurred them out) in the basketball shot. There was talk about it being a false shot in correlation to the attack, but I would feel terribly exploited by the McCain campaign if I was one of the people who was with Obama that day, the fact that they were "blurred out" didn't change that.

Heh, wouldn't it be awesome in bizarro world if Britney or Paris said something like "That's ok, I read that John McCain really loves to make fun of women and young girls, making fun of teenagers like Chelsea Clinton for their appearance, calling his wife a nasty name in public , making weird rape jokes. He's just a weird old man, huh?"

Ok, I said in Bizarro world. Let me have the fantasy.

8. Well Obama does have so much in common with the two of them.
Cause Paris and Britney both attended Harvard and are constitutional scholars.

So, see, the comparison holds up.

12. Maybe, but there are some important foreign relation details
upon which they differ, even if the broad outlines are similar.

And frankly, the last energy policy lecture Britney gave was a bit overanalytical and wonkish, if you ask me.

10. another point.
I mean, Britney is dumb, don't get me wrong. But isn't she basically legally unstable right now as well? Don't her parents have court control over her every move so she doesn't go bonkers? Wasn't she on suicide watch or something?

I mean, I don't really feel like defending Britney, but you know what I mean.

11. I heard on Bill Press this morning that Hilton's spokesperson said permission was NOT given
to use her image in the ad.

She should sue him! Wouldnt that be a hoot?

17. Why? John Sidney McCain III and Cindy are members of the Superrich Clan too.
Another thread pointed out that the Hiltons donated to JSM III.
I believe Britney has supported GW Bush in the past.
They've all got several homes and no limit on their credit cards.
They are definitely not like you and me.

21. I think that they just use
what society wants and rake in the money. They are Marilyn Monroe duplicates. They can sort of dance and sing, but mostly they just sell the sex appeal. If no one was noticing them, they would have gotten nowhere. I guess you can admire millionaires who know how to make millions, even though they only benefit themselves, like Jay-Lo. Queens. Queens of what.
