"That wasn't an applause line in Germany"
Brokaw is asking Obama about some characterization of his speech by that 'great American' (<---sarcasm, in case it wasn't clear) David Brooks that it was simply high flying rhetoric to make the Germans happy ..... or howeverthefuck he said it.

Obama's reply was perfect, patiently and clearly enumerating a few lines from his speech ..... telling the Germans they need to do more in Afghanistan or why the anti-American sentiment common in Europe is unhelpful ...... and how they were not "an applause line in Germany".

Fuck you, Tommy.

1. The Media Heathers are apoplectic that Obama is doing so well.
I do believe they feel it is their job, their mission statement, to tear him down. He simply does not comport to our American tradition of electing dumbasses.

2. Why doesn't the MSM understand that an speech open to everyone
expecting to draw huge crowds is not the place for a policy speech.

3. Hey, husb., do you think something is the matter with Brokaw?
He looks like he's had somekind of stroke. His mouth works funny, almost an exaggeration of his already impedimented speech. I hadn't seen him in a long time. He looked "funny" to me.

5. Yeah, I know what you mean ..... I think he may have some issues and that it goes back to .......
.... before he 'retired'. Something neurological. (<----no snark intended)
