Which potential VP would attract the most voters who are concerned about the economy?
Most of the potential VPs I hear about have strong foreign/ military credentials (Clark, Reed, Biden, Webb). Many voters are concerned about the economy though. Which VP would appeal to them?

1. Probably a Governor who's done well with his/her State budget.

3. Bloomberg is Wall Street.
The stock of Wall Street is down these days on Main Street.

4. Concerns about the economy plays to Hillary Clinton as VP with voters.
Justified or not, the American people, especially voters in the Rust Belt, still look back with fondness at the Clinton years where 23 million new jobs were created, where minority home ownership soared and where budgets were balanced and where a unprecedented surplus was left. Justified or not, Americans want to grab onto that touchstone again when they felt secure about their future.

Hillary connects with blue collar workers in the Rust Belt in ways that Barack did not.

If the economy is the issue, then Hillary brings more to Barack than the other top VP candidates would.

6. I live in MI and disagree with your assessment of rust belt voters. NAFTA is bleeding us dry
Bill and Hill can't ever escape that here. Not after what she pulled in the Ohio primary a few months ago. All her NAFTA quotes got way to much air time.

7. Edwards would probably be the best for economy
His populist rhetoric was one of his major appeal during the primaries. Obama could also choose a governor like Schweitzer or Sebelius since they are considered stronger on managing domestic issues. Hillary could also be good since she can bring back nostalgia for Bill Clinton's economy and appeals to Appalachian voters.
