Is David Gregory becoming the most worthless CW pundit jackass of this campaign season?
I would vote Yes.

He seems to completely swallow whatever the current Republican Conventional Wisdom is of the day.

Does anyone know who is this Oppenheim jerk that keeps showing up on Race to the White House? He says he is an Independent but he really is just a RW sycophant.

And the people who want to say "turn it off", I know already. I want to chat with the other folks also watching this stuff. This is a discussion forum.

1. He seemed like a hero when he was grilling...

...Scotty McClellen during the old press conferences.

Now he's nothing but a shill.

3. He reminds me of Rick Sanchez
without the hype.

They try to give the impression
that they know what they know
nothing about.

4. Today Gregory stated that his wife was the general counsel at Fannie Mae
before discussing the problems with that entity. Maybe his effort to show his potential bias is in response to criticism of his recent handling of the issues.

8. And then there's that OTHER guy-Reihan Salam who admitted he's for McCain before going
nuts over how terrible Chuck Hagel is!

11. I never saw such a blatant attempt at character assassination: totally trashed Hagel!
It was...weird. Hagel is one of theirs. Something is up with that.

19. Usually the pundits try to at least FEIGN a little objectivity--
we learned that Republican Mr. Salam thinks Democratic Dodd is a great "regular" guy who would be an asset to Obama, and that lifelong Republican HAGEL IS A NARCISSISTIC, SELF-IMPORTANT MONSTER WHO MUST BE DESTROYED!!!! Really, really strange reaction.

24. I bet he was scolded for giving his bias away "out loud" during the commercial. And remember how
Gregory said his wife bought that guy's book? Hmmm. Yeah-he was so ANIMATED about the whole thing!

20. Hagel to them is similar to Lieberman to us. Of course, Hagel hasn't been running around smearing
McCain though. No one else can even come close to Joementum in that respect. When asked why he would be smearing Obama re being against Israel, he said that he wants McCain to win so why wouldn't he. Hmmmmm, perhaps because it is dishonest and reprehensible.

22. Right, but you don't hear Dem pundits going off like that, even on Holy Joe.
I know the GOP is not overly fond of the Chuckster, being one of his constituents, but I think the GOP is really going into fear/attack mode if Obama considers using him in some way (cabinet, most likely), same as they did with Wes Clark and Jim Webb--anyone with solid military credentials on Obama's side is a target, it seems. I think that was what that extremely bizarre reaction was about.

9. Watch for the memes on the show
today his pannel unveiled a duzzy and it took me a little thinking

Well you should know both McCain and Obama are just average politicos... implied there is no difference

Think of the danger of this meme and how effective it was in 2000.

Of course the flip flop one was there for all to see

13.  Right on the money on 2 counts.
Gregory has become nothing but a transmission belt for RW talking points.
And I get so tired of people telling other folks to stop watching these shows. It is not just masochism that compels me to tune in. It is also important to me to know what the talking heads are filling the airwaves with. The American peoples' voting patterns in the past two presidential elections would lead one to doubt the democratic process. What happened becomes understandable only in the context of the lies , misstatements and slanders thought up by GOP operatives and propagated by their network and cable shills.

15. Actually, Gregory was more impressive doing his pathetic MC Rove number
at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association dinner than he is as a host of a "news" program. And that ain't sayin' much....

and Oppenheim is a whiny rethug masquerading as a centrist. Yea fucking right. He'd throw his kneepads on in a second if Bush entered the room.
