He would be the best credantial vp ever.... though I so not think he is a good campaigner and think he would not be a solid debater (He is disposed tonegotiate rahten than attack)

I am not enamored with him as I once was. I am just really suprised his name is not floated more. Is it because he is Hispanic while Obama is African-AMerican and he is now thought of as "too much change" (need a white guy...gotta have a white guy) or something like that? I understand that, But would argue that in terms of resume and electoral math heis a far better choice than say Sebelius. But she continues to be hyped.

It all very odd.

3. I've heard allusions to that --
a Monica problem. If it's true, it would keep him out of the running.

4. so goes the rumors.
But this would seem to be more of a personality fit or he is boring or something. It just seems like the pundiotocacy has dismissed him even though the cam

Maybe it is because of the mante about needing to attract Appalachian whites or Reagan Dems.

5. All we hear is gossip, and I suppose the gossipers don't much
favor him. Obama and co., and the vetters, have zipped their lips, so we really don't know who is being considered.

6. I'm of the belief (my own)
that it would be a "too much change" issue. I don't see winning over any Republicans -- or other Americans -- who seem to be terrified that Mexicans are storming our country and taking our jobs. Same thing about Sebelius - don't think it would be a woman.

It's too bad because there are so many wonderful and worthy possibilities, but I'm assuming the Obama camp is looking at strategic candidates -- not necessarily philosophically aligned so much as who can help us win. If it were a perfect world... but we know what we're up against.

Also, most of the names that have been bandied about are coming from the pundits -- or us -- and I don't know how much real info we've gotten from the campaign.

8. Yes. I'm a big fan of his...
but he was such a lousy candidate despite having some really good ideas. He lost big in the 'style' sweepstakes.

12. There's more to it than length of resume
And in EVERY OTHER AREA Richardson comes up short. He's not terribly charismatic, he doesn't debate well, and so on. What's odd about it?

13. He said being gay is a choice and used the Spanish word for "faggot" on Imus.
That is "maricon".

Given all the flak Obama got about McClurkin, I doubt he wants a repeat performance.
