the Obama-McCain debates should be fun
an angry, uninformed, confused old man vs. a confident, charismatic, unflappable rock star.

1. I can't wait to see McCain's head explode in frustration at having
his lies exposed. Should be quite an eruption.

2. You're naive if you think McCain will be a pushover in the debates
I guess you didn't see how he handled the smooth talking Romney and mocked him as he took him down.

4. Romney is no Obama
but you're right, no opponent should be underestimated.

5. a vigorous youngish law professor
versus a memory challenged depends wearer.

fear v. hope

past v. future

proven failure v. unlimited potential

I normally like a closer contest but at this point, I hope Obama wipes the floor with him.

6. Physically, just seeing them side by side will shock some people
and they will wonder if McCain has the strength, energy, and vitality to be president. Then when they see him hemm and haw and hesitate like he did the other day when trying to answer a question about a vote he made on birth control and Viagra, people will wonder if he has the mental capacity to be president.

7. The debate questions, asked by the "impartial" moderator:
"Senator McCain; how demoralizing was it to have Jane Fonda piss on your face in the Hanoi Hilton?"

"Mr. Obama; we have this video that appears to be you burning a flag in your Madrassa kindergarten class ..."

"Senator War Hero; when you turned down John Kerry's desperate plea for you to become his VP choice ..."

"Mr. Hussein, er, I'm sorry, Obama; when you ran over that homeless man while on your way to your elite suburban home, ..."

10. I can't wait. McCain is wrong on every single issue. He'd lose
even if Obama weren't a great candidate. Just the sight of the two side by side will be remarkable, without a word spoken.
