Theres too much fighting about what you can and cannot say here.

Its ridiculous. So what if someone is not happy with Obama let them say it, so what if someone is totally in love with Obama, let them say it... Its not about Obama!!! As long as you vote for him you are voting for yourself. A vote for McCain or even a non vote is a vote against yourself, your children, your parents, our servicemen, and your grandparents and the environment!!! Not voting does nothing, it doesn't send a message, it doesn't help you... it only hurts everyone.

Its about us, and our future. There should be no one here saying they will not vote for Obama... period. Obama is going to screw up just as any nominee would. He's a politician!! We should be allowed to discuss it when he or any democratic representative screws up, and we should be allowed to praise them when they do the right thing. We may disagree on what the right thing is... so what, lets talk about it, thats what this place is about.

What we should never do is say we are giving up or not voting... that would be a mistake that falls on you and everyone else around you, and that would be your fault.

Don't look at Obama as an individual, look at it as bigger than Obama, look at it as the democratic party as a whole and that is what you are voting for, not an individual, but your future, and the future of this world.

1. Yes, I'll be voting for a Democratic administration,
...including the new people who will lead the EPA etc., rather than voting for one person.

3. I love you now. I liked you before. And yes, it is about so much
more than Obama.

We must keep McCain out of the White House no matter what. He would be a disaster in all ways. I cannot think of one thing in which he would be better than Obama. We must have a democrat in the White House so that good bills will not be vetoed. We must have an end to this war. We must loosen the grip of corporations on our politicians. We must stop torture. We must care for our sick and elderly and our veterans who come home maimed for life. These are only a few of the things that we must do and we can only do them with a democratic president. We cannot count on a veto-proof Senate. We would be stupid to assume it will happen. So we must elect Obama. He is our candidate and he is infinitely better than McCain could ever be.

9. I have 3 teenaged sons and McSame is just not an option.
I'll be working for Obama more after August as we have local elections going on, but after those I'll be working for Obama and to try to get Lamar Alexander voted out. Getting rid of Lamar is a long shot, yet I'll be trying.

That's not to say that I won't voice displeasure over something that I truly disagree with.

McSame is just NOT an option!!!!

10. What I want to know is ..
if Obama would have voted the opposite way would if have mattered, would the bill have passed or not passed, from what I can see is that he did it so as not to have the Repugs saying he was soft on terrorism. So I really don't see why this is such a big deal. Was his vote going to make it pass or not..now tell me what is the difference. The only reason I can see why some are making a big deal is because he is the nominee..

11. Another question... Should Obama be worried about what the repubs will say or what we will say?
