Discussing McCain's immigration flip-flop, MSNBC's Brewer asked, "[H]ow is that really changing?"

Responding to Democratic strategist Keith Boykin's assertion that Sen. John McCain "switched positions" on immigration, MSNBC's Contessa Brewer asked "how?" and described McCain's position not as a reversal, but as "prioritiz border security" after his immigration bill failed in the Senate. But, in fact, McCain has reversed himself on a key component of comprehensive immigration reform.

Another example of MSNBC ignoring or making excuses of John McCain's flip-flops. :wtf:

edited to add, I will call out examples of when MSNBC shows their favoritism to McCain.

1. MSNBC's "Super Tuesday" election themes are so stupid
Edited on Wed Jul-09-08 09:10 AM by ErinBerin84
They are just another chance for all of the anchors to repeat the McCain talking points...For the "Iraq" themed day, the headline was "Does Obama have an Iraq problem?" (bc the "surge has been so successful!"). For the tax themed day, it was "Obama wants to raise your taxes!" The theme yesterday was immigration, and seldom did I EVER hear one mention McCain's flip on this...it was all "McCain bucked his party by supporting immigration reform!"

And now Craig Crawford is pissing me off, dumping on Obama for Iran right now. Shut up, Craig.

3. I wouldn't mind it so much if he, you know, balanced it out with some criticism of McCain
once in a while, but the last few times I've seen him on tv, he has pretty much ignored McCain and just gone after Obama. Though he did say that the Iran thing could help Obama if he wants to assert himself as being comfortable with foreign policy, he then started making fun of his use of "agressive" in front of diplomacy, and harping on the "unconditional talks" thing, while ignoring McCain. Methinks he is still bitter over the primary.
