It seems as if Warner, Webb, & Strickland turned down VP talk rather forcefully

MSNBC broke story earlier (and it's probably been talked about here already) but Jim Webb has said he doesn't want the VP slot...Warner, Webb, & Strickland seemed to be strongly AGAINST the VP job...Now, if it's something they truly don't want, fine, but I would think most politicans would be honored to be considered for the VP...Why do the aforementioned (especially Strickland) almost take offense to being talked about as Obama's running mate?....It just doesn't seem like there is enthusiasm for VP on the Democrat side...

Look at the Rethugs..Flip Romney or crazy Mike Huckabee would JUMP at the chance to be McBush's VP..If either of these 2 are offered VP, no way will they turn it down....

I think the VP is going to be either Clinton, Edwards, or Richardson - that is if they want it...

Kerry: too easy to target from last time, no matter if unfair or not

Biden: old and can't swing a region we need. Delaware is already dem, right? what can he bring to the table in terms of states?

Dodd: same concerns.

Sebelius: I don't like that she's bilderburg.

Graham: ? Don't know enough about this person.

Gore: He's too happy to sit in poo.

Clinton: too much water under the bridge.

This is what comes to me as I see them. I love some of them and like them all even if I do have problems with some of their records. I don't see these making it. On Sebelius, I hope not.

15. Yes, that's what I'm saying...It's no big thing

(or as they use to say on Hawaii Five-O "Ain't no big thing bruddah") to turn the VP position down, but the above 3 REALLY seemed to be against it, especially Strickland.....Perhaps I should go find a link, but Strickland was so strongly against it, I just found that rather odd...He was a HRC supporter, perhaps he can't accept that she's not the nominee...

3. I like what Biden said: that he's not really in the market for the VP slot, but if was asked by his

party to do it, if his party thought he was the best person to win the GE in the VP slot, he, of course, would say yes. I think the media is playing this stuff up in their general antagonistic tone towards Obama. Look for the next story: no one wants to be Obama's VP, boohoo!

Webb is a US Senator and Mark Warner is running for US Senate (and hopefully will win). Strickland was just elected governor of Ohio.

Romney and Huckabee are sitting on their asses doing nothing - so of course they would take VP.

They make by far the most sense from a strategic standpoint, flipping a vital state. A VP isn't worth squat in broad scope but he can deliver his home state via a 3-3.5 point favorite son bump.

It's high hilarity when names like Richardson are mentioned and there's talk of him helping in Nevada or other states with high number of Hispanics. Likewise Bob Graham, in some thread today a discussion of him boosting Virginia or other southern states. A VP has extremely limited pull and it's isolated to his home state.

Hillary might be an exception, retrieving some of her supporters since it's so recent and polarizing, but she also obviously repels certain groups.
