Just a heads up: Cynthia McCain will be on "The Situation Room"
at 4PM. I'm curious to see if they discuss "Cookiegate"?

7. Does anyone else get the feeling that her heart isn't in this?
I don't know her and I have never met her so there's a good chance I'm completely wrong about this, but she just doesn't look happy. What little spark she had left in her seemed to die during the lobbyist sex scandal. We make fun of her for the cookie thing, but does she really give a shit? Even the "attack" on Michelle seemed very contrived and half-assed...and coached for that matter.

Ultimately it doesn't matter I guess. Just curious if anyone else has come to this conclusion.

9. Perhaps it's because she knows
all her mistakes are going to be fodder for the papers and cable news shows. I imagine she's not looking forward to being viewed as a rich junkie stealing drugs from children.

10. True....
plus I've read that she still harbors resentment for the shit Rove said about her family in the 2000 primary. I don't blame her though because attacking her adopted daughter was absolutely disgusting. It must be difficult for any spouse to get back on the campaign trail after that experience. Sometimes I look at her and feel sorry for her.

11. I feel sorry for both of them
Cindy and Michelle. What they're going to have to withstand to see their husbands in the White House is not something I would ever opt to go through.

16. the one that I feel the most compassion for is Bridget. She's
being used by her parents- AND the media.

I thought the smear campaign was pretty sleazy- but sadly predictable.

What bothers me is that no one in the family thought to really discuss this with Bridget herself.
She only found out about it by 'googling' her name in....2006, and was devastated. (who wouldn't be)-
Not discussing this with her was the stupidest thing they could have done. It adds an element of shame to the foolish incident that could very well have been defused by her PARENTS taking the initiative to discuss this with her themselves.

That irritates the hell out of me. She had no choice in the adoption, and as much as they have invested in her, their time, and attention is as important as all the material crap. They failed her in this instance.

Imagine being Bridget and reading that your mother said if she hadn't gotten you out of the orphanage you'd have become a prostitute or died. ???

(sore spot speaking)

peace~

8. As I suspected. No "Cookiegate"!
However, I did find out she is heading another charity! I hope the Vicodin is locked in a safe place.

12. Michelle Obama was so good on the View. That they sent Cindy McCain out today to try
and keep muddy Michelle up again.

13. If the GOP had any sense they would keep Cindy safely locked up at home
but good they are letting out the zombie for everyone to see and they will be quite frightened by her! A neighbor of mine said today that Cindy looks weird.

14. Any takers on which color leather blazer she'll wear?
My money's on the red.

But I believe that there's also a black one, a blue one and recently I saw her in a taupe one.

Nothing says "style and elegance" like a leather blazer! :sarcasm:
