Check out Chimpy's answer to 6 Tours Nam Vet - What an insult!
Edited on Thu Aug-19-04 05:17 PM by rmpalmer
Moran didn't even answer this guy's ? - I'll never understand how these people support the Idiot-In-Chief. Josh Marshall pointed out this passage. But then we have two morans here.

Q On behalf of Vietnam veterans -- and I served six tours over there -- we do support the President. I only have one concern, and that's on the Purple Heart, and that is, is that there are over 200,000 Vietnam vets that died from Agent Orange and were never -- no Purple Heart has ever been awarded to a Vietnam veteran because of Agent Orange because it's never been changed in the regulations. Yet, we've got a candidate for President out here with two self-inflicted scratches, and I take that as an insult. (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I appreciate that. Thank you. Thank you for your service. Six tours? Whew. That's a lot of tours.

Let's see, who've we got here? You got a question?

3. Nice. Now we've got soldiers calling each other out on their wounds now...
All in support of a man who chickened out.

Great Uniter, indeed.

4. The lies..................
more closely fit their ideology. The truth doesn't support thier hate and bias, so any old lie will do. Stupid is as stupid does. Write these people off, there's no reaching them. EVER!

6. They would have been happier if Cleland
had had all four limbs blown off- what a wimp; only three. Pantywaist if you ask me.

He would have proven his patriotism beyond a shadow of a doubt - with one arm left, he's still able to vote Democratic, so that's no frigging good.
