Please Remember: If You Put An Obama Bumper Sticker on Your Automobile, You Represent the Campaign
And the candidate.

Driving home today I happened to see a car with an Obama bumper sticker cut off another car pretty bad.

Its fine to drive like an asshole, I do it all the time, which is why I rarely have a political bumper sticker on my car.

Something to keep in mind and to be conscious of while driving.

17. I never thought suggesting that people drive courteously
while sporting campaign logos would be controversial.

Apparently it is too much to ask for some people.

Anybody so stupid they change their impression of a candidate based on the driving of somebody who has their name on a sticker has no business voting.

10. They encourage fellow supporters, and create the impression of widespread support.
They're also useful for fringe candidates to generate name recognition for very little money (see Paul, Ron.)

11. I don't think this phenomenon exists beyond your skull, to be honest.
And I think you're grasping at increasingly flimsy straws to find reasons to bitch at Obama supporters. I'd be embarrassed for you, if I thought it was worth the effort.

12. It may not, but its something I've taken note of my whole life.
Its just something I notice, and I certainly can't think of a good reason to make a bad impression on undecided voters if it can be avoided.

19. I agree to some extent
when I see someone with a chimp sticker driving like an ass I think "well that just figures". Also when I see a chimp sticker I try and get a look at the driver. Most always they look like a morAn with a stupid blank look on their face. :silly: I don't see anything wrong with trying to set a good example when you have bumpersticker. You are kind of a goodwill ambassador O8) for that person or cause.

31. Drivers should be courteous no matter who they support....
... but yes, it's a good idea that if you're advertising support for a candidate to not piss other people off where they associate being pissed off with your candidate.

Our lawn is in terrible shape right now -- the guy who mows our lawn has went MIA. Don't understand why, we paid well....

But I'm not putting up a yard sign until my yard is being mowed every two weeks at least. Hehe.

32. It's not fine to drive like an asshole.
When people drive like assholes it greatly increases the risk that somebody gets seriously injured or killed. That's kind of why they call it "driving like an asshole".

If you don't have a basic appreciation of the safety of others, you don't belong behind the wheel of a car.

36. Your W decal won't get you into heaven anymore.
And yeah, you shouldn't drive like teh stupid anyway.

But I got John Kerry stickers on both ends of my minivan ("....for President" still on the front, and "...for Senate" on the back), and if you don't think I'm aware of that every time I drive it here in metro Boston then you got another think coming.

My neighbors all do love it though. So did the mechanic who re-inspected the thing last month. And the parking-lot guy right across the street from where I work.
