It was a moving speech, which effectively dispels all the hype by knit-picking pundits who obsessively framing the hotly contested Hillary/Obama contest in such dark & dire terms like "oh, the Dems are tearing themselves apart" .. or "can the party survive this?" .. or "Obama will be so hobbled going into the GE because of Hillary"... blah, blah.
On the whole, as a result of this primary the Democratic party has been infused and electrified with so much new energy, with record turnouts, and the candidates have done their best to act like adults in their competition, despite the MSM's taunting, imbecilic fixation on crap like lapel pins, errant pastors and bowling scores.
Hillary's speech today was a fine example for her supporters of what it looks like to accept defeat gracefully and dedicate oneself to doing what's best for the Party and the nation.
On the whole, Party elders also have acted like adults in democratically resolving FL and MI delegate mess, by crafting a fine compromise decision; and they acted like adults in how they made (or didn't make) endorsements, advised the candidates, enforced the party rules, etc.
On the whole my friends, today the Democratic Party is looking pretty damn good, like an extended family with real adults dealing responsibly with tough controversies that are hammered out, waded through and resolved in our collective best interests. And the Party's looking especially stellar compared to the ideologically bankrupt GOP snake pit of oily apologists for continuing endless wars, unfettered corporate greed, war crimes, torture, illegal surveillance, and all the rest of the nightmarish Bush/Cheney "legacy".
My sincere congratulations to Hillary on a fantastic speech and for acting like an adult when the chips are down. Thank you Hillary!! :hi:  :hi:
