Listen, who won the popular vote in this thing can be argued either way. I'm not arguing either. Just like who won Florida can be argued either way. I was living in Duval County with my sister during the 2000 election. I lived in a mostly AA part of Jacksonville. I know my vote was stolen, so we know what side I'm on there.

Whether you want to admit it or not, the supporters of DimSon and the supporters of Barry are very similar. And if you can't see it, you're wearing some big 'ol blinders.

If they don't start acting differently - and I'm talking also about paid members of his staff, they're going to lose half the Democratic vote - whether you want to admit it or not.

Is that we're going to lose in November if they keep this shit up.

I live in a safely Democratic state and there is no way I'd vote for Obama at this point in time. My first presidential vote was for Dukakis and I've voted D in every race in every election since.

I am not voting D at this point in time. I'm leaving President blank.

Now, what about the people who feel like I do who live in states that matter?

He can't win if this shit keeps up. Hell, I don't think he's electable at all, but what do I know, right?

Both he and Hillary are Democrats and have similar positions on most things. The only difference is that he won more delegates and is therefore the Democratic nominee. What would you like him to do?

Because you're argument is not at all comparable to the 2000 general election. The Democratic Primary is decided by delegate vote. There is no popular vote because four caucus states don't report their vote totals, only their delegate totals. So, according to Hillary's own arguments, you can't disenfranchise those states. Or is the argument she's making that we should only worry about disenfranchisement in states she won? So hard to keep them straight.

You may or may not like it, but delegates are the way the Democratic primary is decided. Where was your opposition to this system prior to the beginning of the primary season?

In any case, it is only by the most optimistic metric that Hillary won the popular vote. Only by counting Florida at full value, counting all Hillary votes in Michigan at full value and giving Obama zero and by giving neither candidate any votes from the caucus states that do not report popular vote is Hillary winning in the popular vote category.

Because like it or not, he barely won this thing. He couldn't put it away and the alienating of half the democratic party by him and his supporters is going to put McCain in the White House. And that? That sucks.

So while I'm not advocating you be treated like shit, I don't have much sympathy to people who continue to create false metrics. It's like losing a close football game. The Democratic Primary has a real, measurable metric for who wins the nomination and the person who has met that metric is Obama.

So what do you want me to do about it? The winner gets the nomination and everyone else doesn't. Hillary got a lot of votes, no question. Obama got slightly more and - more importantly - won the number of delegates needed to get the nomination. It's like a football game. It doesn't matter if you win by 3 or 72, it's still a win. One team wins, one team loses. Doesn't matter how much you win or lost by.

Your correct that Obama won only by a small margin, but he did win. So what do you want? To hold the Democratic party hostage until we reverse that decision (which isn't going to happen)? What do you want?
