5. Because the last one hundred or so days since it was clear she had lost just weren't enough
Why will just seven days now do the trick, I wonder.

7. It's a calculated thing
Seven days should be sufficient time to get it out of their systems, both the gloating and the grieving.

After that, if you aren't fully behind the democratic Party, DU isn't the place for you.

10. He's NOT the nominee!!!
He's only "presumptive". He's not nominated. This ain't over. She's not conceding. This goes on to the convention. And beyond that, to the courts. This does not end. Not until she's in the Oval Office. spokane, you're dead to me now!

:hi:

(kidding about the "dead" part)

12. Everything is in place for him to be nominated at the convention.
But until that happens, he is the "presumptive".

What are you HILarious about? Is this sarcastic?

Concessions usually happen at the convention. She stopped short of that, saying she was not making a decision that night, but praised Obama both Tuesday and Wednesday morning at the AIPAC meeting.

Taking it as far as you did is really very childish.

Good bye and good luck -- Good screen name, BTW.

13. Better to laugh than to throw things
Hi RL,

Yes, just an attempt at sarcastic humor, directed at someone who seemed to refuse to recognize the inevitable outcome.

But, today is a new day.

News indicates a gracious and classy end to this primary season.

And, the Red Wings won Lord Stanley's cup.

All is good.

14. Three hopeless contrarians and two flat-out trolls are left.
The rest are already on-board.

I think we can handle it.
