Holy crap! Tim Russert gets it re: media coverage
He flat out said that the media could play a positive role in this country's future by focusing much more on big issues like the economy, health care and the Iraq war, rather than dissect bits of video tape and issues like not wearing flag pins.

This is ridiculously ironic given his conduct during the debates. Asking those type of "gotcha" questions was his MO. Has he finally had some sort of revelations?

5. it is about time....funny how now they "get" that the bread and butter
issues are more important than video tapes of irate pastors......

Geesh. Have they finally gotten that the Internet and YouTube and Blogs are outgunning MSM? BAWWWHHHHHHAAAAAHHHHHAAAAA or something like that.

6. The FIRST thing they do is to NOT cover Hillary anymore
The should just send a message to her "team"... When you are ready to concede, send us a video, and we'll play it..Until that..Nada..zip..zilch..zippo..

Do they follow the losers of the Super Bowl around begging them to comment?? Nope.. The cameras & accolades are for the WINNERS...

9. This Press of ours is all McCain has this year.
He's got no support among Republicans. He's a crazy old fart with no coherent message. The Republicans are broke and in the mids of in fighting. They've got nothing this year. If anyone keeps McCain in the race this year it will be the Press. We'll have to keep on them and we'll see if Tim can get it right this time. I doubt it though.

10. Nah, I've seen his show.
He's playing to crowd but will go back to his Sunday show with clips and gotcha questions. Reality TV programs are some of the highest rated right now. His is is just like the the Big Brother and Bachelor crap except with politicians. I think I was transported to a parallel more sane dimension if he suddenly focused on issues.

11. The only reason he's changing his tune
is because his candidate has apparently won. He wouldn't want anybody to deploy the same tactics against Obama that he was cheerleader in chief for when they were being applied to CLinton.

Russert disgusts me!
