Will the Supers please end this stupidity now?
http://demconwatch.blogspot.com/2008/01/superdelegate-endorsement-notes.html - my new favorite website (present company excluded)

South Dakota and Montana dont count for shit- Sorry Dakotians and Montanians, but the race is over but the screaming. The nominee will need some Super Delegates to come to their side to push the Nom over the top. Hillary needs a lot more than Obama (who has won the majority of the pledged delegates-which was the threshold for many Supers)

IF enough Supers 25 (guessing Obama gets at least 10 of the 36 needed as of 11:55AM EDT from SD and Mont.) would announce before tonight, Clinton would have no choice but to acknowledge reality. This "I am the stronger candidate" bullshit is way too divisive and rumors of taking this to the Convention are not helping the real campaign which is against McCain and four more years of Bush-policies and war.

Obama claims to have 30-36 Supers "in the bank". He needs to release these supers now so that he will hit the magic number du jour of 2118. This will force Hillary to acknowledge Obama as the winner or show that she will fight and tear the party apart. The remaining Supers and party leadership could then let it be known that Obama achieved the number of delegates and thus is the NOMINEE of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

1. They are spineless!
This is another reason why we need a third party because the democrats always cower under pressure.

I think is when we'll see the remaining supers commit.

6. Why do I get the feeling the HRC camp will change the 'magic number' yet again.
Any time Obama gets close she and her minions find a way to move the number.

7. I have no idea why the supers are prolonging this farce.
However, if it were to get closer, votes could be worth millions of bucks. After a $500,000,000 campaign, whats a few million more to sew up the nomination?

I'm not accusing any candidate of possible bribery. I'm just looking for some logical reason why
Democrats would hold out so long.

9. My impression is that many of the SDs are waiting, as this process is almost to it's completion.
Once everyone has had an opportunity to vote, then they will come out. They've waited because with Senator Clinton still campaigning, they don't want to be seen as trying to onfluence voters. Also, I would think that some are on various committees who want to remain neutral until the final race. Others are party elders who have chosen to see this out, so not to bring negativity to their personal passionate causes (i.e. Gore and Climate Crisis.)

12. He'll have just enough SDs today that the results tonight put him over the top.
He knows what he's doing.

Let him finish it off the way he does best, WITH STYLE!

Checkmate!

Tomorrow's gonna be a very fun day for Obamaites all over the world!

13. Obama has the right to stop a super delegate from proclaiming their choice?
I don't understand what you mean by "in the bank". If they are they should be opeingly and on the record declaring their support I would think.

14. DemConWatch has given him three supers in the last thirty minutes.
That's a lot of trickling... DemConWatch had Obama's magic number at 37 moments ago, and now they have it at 34, less than a half-hour later. MSNBC goes even further, putting his number at 33.5.

I think this is going to happen today. I really do. :-)

15. Come on.....
She will concede when she decides to. I was an Edwards supporter that went for Obama as soon as Edwards suspended his run, and I think Hillarye should have thrown the hat it long ago but she has won the right to drop out on her own terms.

Obama is not pressuring her, he is being very understanding and fair about the whole thing.....we should too.
