I'd like to see him ask Warren Buffet. And as a Samantha Powers fan, I'd like to see her at State.

As in, Condileeza "I've never seen a bloody debacle that I couldn't make worse" Rice?

Wow, that just absolutely blows my mind.

I know you asked for no slams on your choices, but I just can't imagine why ANYONE would want that Neocon Chaos & Death Lizard anywhere NEAR a Democratic administration.

Oh well...

Sorry.

Peace,

I was also amazed at this choice, unless there is some other person named Rice!

No way in the world should Condi be anywhere near the new whitehouse!

6. I've heard some talk of Bloomberg for VP.
I'd like to see Edwards as AG. Too many repukes need to be in jail.

I wouldn't appoint any Senator to the cabinet, from a state that could possibly elect a republican replacement. So, Cleland at VA instead of Webb.

Treasury? Me. I could use the money.

22. lol!
I'd like to see Edwards too, but I thought it might lead to how Obama 'bought' his endorsement, so I went elsewhere.

I have heard a lot about how he would appoint some Republicans, so I tried to reflect that. They are not all my favorite choices, but I tried to reflect who I thought he might consider.

9. Good guesses but I mostly disagree...
I think Tom Daschle may be the Chief of Staff, a very important position. I think he may choose Joe Biden as his VP or Secretary of State. Webb or Hagel may be the Secretary of Defense. Interesting choice for Secretary of the Treasury? Bloomberg? Maybe? Regardless, once he begins to fill his Cabinet, I think people will be more accepting of him as the next President of the US.

34. they were good choices
I was trying to stick some republicans in, so I had to work around that. I also went for diversity, because I think that will be important to him.

The only thing was, he did state he would add a Native American post, but I didn't know what to call it, so I left it out.

That's delusional.

And Nader in the cabinet? That goes beyond delusional, into "see your doctor about adjusting your meds" territory.

26. Why on earth would he put so many
prominent conservatives in his cabinet? It's nonsensical.

And no democrat is giving Ralph Nader a job picking up trash in the park, much less a cabinet position.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/02/obama-plans-to-pick-repub_n_89438.html

He worked with Hagel and Lugar in the past, successfully. Bloomberg is pretty middle-of the road for a Republican= many have even suggested him for VP

Hagel is considered a liberal Republican and Lugar was one of the first Republicans to call for a course change in Iraq and worked with Obama on non-proliferation legislation.

I just guessed at Nader, my first thought was Gore - but I think he's outgrown that.

What do you have against Susan Rice?

and the OP didn't say "Susan Rice". Just "Rice".

But one republican might be tolerable.

39. Love Hagel, but
a liberal he is not. On the other hand, if my understanding of what Obama is all (or in large measure) about, I hope that we may get to a point where such labels will matter and will be used way less than they are now.
