Was Bill Clinton a plus or a minus for Hillary ??
Not only with his surprising comments after the SC primary, but also with the revelations of how much money he made in the last 6-8 years and his controversial "deals" with sovereign countries, did that make it more difficult for Hillary to win the nomination? Would Hillary have done better if she had told Bill to stay home?

Or is it that the country really does have "Clinton fatigue"? Not only are they tired of the Bushes but they are tired of the Clintons also. Many Democrats have despised the DLC and Al From and the Clinton style of politics since 1992. They voted out of necessity for Bill Clinton. He was not as popular with Democrats as some polls may have indicated.

But Hillary did not want to make the same "mistake" that Al Gore made. She chose to have Bill by her side. In hindsight, do you think that was a good or bad decision by her?

1. If it wasn't for Bill Clinton, she wouldn't of run as strong
A lot of the votes for her are because people remember him.

2. Both.
At the micro level his ability to draw crowds and engage audiences was a tremendous asset for Hillary. However, at the macro level, his finger wagging moments were a big minus, both in terms of distraction and stirring up "Clinton fatigue".

3. Agreed. He both helped and hurt her campaign. And SC was
a whole 'nother story.

7. Nevada was my breaking point as far as Bill was concerned.
I was seething even before the brunt of Bill's "Southern strategy" was unleashed in SC.

In NV, the red-faced, finger-wagging argument with the local reporter regarding the caucus lawsuit and the barging into caucus sites was simply more than I could take. Those antics went beyond "campaigning" for his candidate. Patently unacceptable behavior.

4. Bigger positive than a negative
as has been shown in exit polls where people cite Bill as being an important factor in their voting and they vote for Hillary.

5. Both. A lot of people are not voting for Hillary alone. They want Bill back. nt

6. He started out a big positive, and then swung hard negative. Triangulation?

8. A minus for me...
...if I even come close to thinking what a Hillary presidency would be like - I think of Bill and cringe - I believe I would like her more if Bill wasn't in the picture.

10. Let's be honest...
She would probably not be the US Senator from NY if not for Bill Clinton? Because she was the wife of Bill Clinton during his Presidency, she had the name and reputation to run for the US Senate. It's amazing to me that so many women think she has come this far on her own? It seems to me that there are many better role models to follow than Hillary Clinton. Just my humble opinion.

12. A big minus.
It is highly unlikely that he brought out new supporters for her. He did help raise campaign funds, both from the grass roots and other sources. But he offended significant and large groups of democrats, both at the grass roots level, and in the Congress.
